Quality spares

Domestic appliance spares come in two main categories: genuine and copy. Genuine spares are of the higher quality; however, they are also the highest in price. Copy spares can be of variable quality, from good to quite poor, but are usually significantly cheaper. The key with copied spares is to choose those that offer the best value: i.e. those that are good quality (those which don't compromise safety standards, for example) but at a reasonable price.

We offer a wide range of both genuine and copy spares and parts in order to offer maximum choice. For example, with newer appliances it may be worth spending a bit extra for a genuine spare whereas with an older appliance a copy will do if your only concern is to keep the machine running a little longer.

Whilst there are some very cheap spares available we do not supply them as their quality is often unacceptably low; such as parts not having overheating-proof thermal cut-outs fitted.

Fast delivery

Spare parts we have in stock will be dispatched either the same day (if ordered before 3PM) or the next working day (if ordered after 3PM).

We send items by Royal Mail First Class as standard so delivery should be within 48 hours of dispatch - usually the next day. Orders sent to Europe should arrive in 2-4 days and orders dispatched to the rest of the world can take from 4 to 8 days.

Items we don't have in stock locally will have to be ordered in for you; however, these days most domestic appliance spares can be obtained within 24-48 hours so we can still normally have non-local-stock parts delivered within 2-4 days.

Hotpoint motor brushes	Hotpoint has been the biggest selling brand in the UK for the last few decades. Hotpoint's carbon motor brushes, therefore, have been amongst the most popular washing machine parts required for the maintenance of their washing machines. Drum lifters	Many washing machines now have plastic drum lifters or scoops fitted as it's much cheaper to manufacture drums this way. Unfortunately, they are prone to breaking. However, fitting new drum lifters is probably one of the easiest repairs to do. See also: How to replace a drum lifter
Hoover door handle	This Hoover manufactured washing machine door handle is prone to snapping. Fortunately, compared to other washing machine parts, they are cheap and easy to replace. Also fits Candy, Maytag, Otsein, and Zerowatt branded appliances.
Door hinge	The 1602473 door hinge fits Creda, Electra, Gala, General Electric, and Hotpoint models. This is another cheap and easy repair for DIY enthusiasts of any level of expertise.
Hotpoint interlock	The interlock on domestic appliances is a safety device that is used to ensure that the machine does not operate unless the door is closed properly. They have a small internal heater that only allows electricity to flow into the machine once it is hot. The annoying time delay at the end of a wash cycle is caused by the time it takes for the heater to cool down. If this heat device begins to fail then it doesn't warm up and the typical fault symptom is that the machine won't start the cycle (although banging the door can help - for a while!) This interlock fits Ariston, Creda, Hotpoint, Indesit, and New World washing machines.

Although we are competitive on price, quality is the main factor of concern when deciding which spares we sell and on the way in which trade generally (both spares and repairs). Our trading policy has always been to provide a 'value for money' service rather than attempting (or appearing) to be the cheapest. Cutting prices usually means cutting corners! We do not sell inferior quality spares to compete on price.
